Kosmelita Group took over 20 The Body Shop stores in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It was the group's first step in expanding beyond Lithuania.

Kosmelita Group now runs The Body Shop in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The group acquired Bodybalt, the brand’s franchise partner in the Baltic States, after the Lithuanian Competition Council cleared the deal on 30 July 2024.

The acquisition adds 20 stores to the group: 7 in Lithuania, 7 in Latvia and 6 in Estonia. It is also Kosmelita’s first step outside Lithuania, after three decades of growth at home.

The group plans to grow the brand across the region and to bring The Body Shop’s skin, body and hair care to more customers through shop-in-shops in its existing store network.

“By acquiring the rights to The Body Shop brand in the Baltic States, we are expanding both our operational geography and our offerings.”

Arvydas Šapola, Chief Executive Officer
